Easter

I have so many fond memories of Easter from my child hood.

I remember when the Easter Bunny would visit our house he/she (I'm unsure of the Easter Bunny's gender) would hide our baskets and send us on a scavenger hunt. My brother Mike and I would go from place to place looking for our next clue. Once we found our baskets we would sort though our candy and place it in nice little piles in our baskets.

When I was a little older and wiser I would spend Easter with my Grandpa John. For those of you who don't know we adopted each other. John and Franny Moe were unable to have children and my grandparents died when I was a baby (some before I was born). Grandpa John would always cook a huge Easter dinner for my parents and we would eat it in his enclosed patio (one of my favorite rooms). I loved shopping and preparing the meal with him. He was a fantastic cook and included me in every aspect. I love and miss him dearly! John and Franny are in heaven keeping my daddy company.

I hope my children will have fond memories of their special holidays.

Pictures of Me

I usually hate all the pictures of me. I have to take 50 pictures to get 1 that is ok...just ok. Today was the exception, at least I think so. I took 3 pictures and I like all 3 of them. I hope I don't sound conceded.

They might have been even cuter if someone else would have taken them..Who knows??

I wonder if Shane regrets buying me a little camera that fits in my purse?

Certificate of Completion

Now, on to the state boards! Good Luck Cassie!! You can do it!!

Shark Sitting

I had the weirdest dream last night. I was shark sitting! For those of you who don't know this,

I am deathly afraid of sharks!

As a child I had the following fears:
  1. That a shark would come out of the toilet and bite my butt.
  2. If the toilet was by the bath tub a shark would jump out of the toilet into the bath tub and eat me.
So why would I agree to shark sit? This question still bothers me.

Every time I think of a shark this is the picture that comes to my mind

Anyways, I put the shark in our swimming pool.
  • Fact: I don't have a swimming pool.
Then the shark ate 1 of our 3 cats.
  • Fact: I only have 1 cat.
Gunner, our dog was laying in the pool and the shark bit him. I had to rush him to the vets so he could get stitches. When the vets shaved him he shrunk.
  • Fact: Gunner will not shrink when you shave him.
My alarm went off and I woke up.

WTF
Please don't ever ask me to shark sit. I will have to tell you HELL NO!

I Got My First Real Hawaiian Lei

Look what I got.

It's my first Hawaiian Lei from Kimmy who just got back from Hawaii with her family. I love it, it's very pretty!
Here I am posing with my real Hawaiian Lei

I took the pictures myself. Can you tell?

Kim also gave me a thimble. My friends always tease me that all it would take is a thimble worth of alcohol to change me. WRONG!!! SO WRONG!!!

Nope, NOT CHANGED!!! They were WRONG!!

I also got a Hawaiian skirt.

But it didn't fit so I put it on my head to look like a scary lion.

Did I scare you?

Thanks so much, Kim Larsen and family! I missed you!

Pie In My Face

I am sitting at work today with nothing to do but waste time. I know this surprises all of you because we all know what a SUPER HARD worker I am. So I thought since I am at work I should blog about work then it would be considered working..correct??? CORRECT!

One of our owners thought it would be great to have Casey Scott with Channel 2 News come in to do a segment on us.

Casey Scott and I

I told everyone that I was NOT, let me repeat myself, I was NOT going on camera!! I heard that the camera adds 10 pounds to you and I didn't need any more weight added! Well, to make a long story short I ended up on camera.

As you can see in the video Casey and I were playing rock, paper, scissors. The loser would get a pie in the face. Before we went on air Casey told me what he was going to do for the first two and I had to flat out get the third one by myself. I took notes, I wrote it on my hand so that I would not forget. Did any of you notice before we started the game that I looked at my left hand? I did not want to lose! I did not want a pie in my face! I did not want to be on camera! Guess what, I lost! Everything I did not want to happen, happened.

The very last segment Casey wanted us to throw 30 pies at him. As you can see we also threw them at each other.

Me, Casey, Mark (Par) and Kris

It turned out to be a FUN morning after all!

Is It I-Da-Ho or You-Da-Ho??

Its IDAHO, ya'll..
As an Adams' and Thomas' tradition we survived our March Lava trip. We love going to Lava in March because you don't have the crowds or the family reunions but you still get the weirdo's.
Our first night by the fire. I think Jenn and I look happy, don't you agree?

I am teaching Jenn how to open her eyes wide.

One of the stores that is a must visit is Dempsey Creek. They have the best rings. The guy on the floor must have been a little too tired to stand or... is he too drunk??

The hot pots are always nice in March because it's not too hot outside so the water is enjoyable. The man in his banana hammock was very proud of himself and wanted all of us to be proud too.
We weren't!!

Walking down the street we found this car that wanted us to know that they will be LDS4EVR. GO YOU!!

This is Shane at Shanes Service

The Royal...We have NEVER gone to Lava without eating here. They have the best salad, pizza and beer in Idaho.

Am I Too Vain?

This is Cassie's last week at cosmetology school after enduring 2 1/2 years of DATC hell! I decided to go in and get my legs waxed, my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted and my hair trimmed.

Why is it that I put myself through pain to look good? Hmmm, well getting waxed is pain that is short lived and I consider myself a tough individual. (I don't know if Shane would agree but this is my blog so I am writing things the way "I" see them.)

OUCH!

Look how big my eyebrows look. I look like Charlie Chaplin, don't you think?

I love having my eyelashes tinted.

I was Cassie's last female hair cut at school.

Cheryl, pictured below was Cassie's favorite teacher. Can you tell this picture was totally a POSED for picture?

I am so proud of Cassie! YEAH, you did it!!
